We are delighted to announce the promotion of two of our talented team members, Alan Raoof and Elen Roberts, to the position of Senior Scientist. 

Individually, they have brought the right scientific thinking to support a wide and diverse range of projects. They have generated high quality data to support project delivery, coupled with articulate communication of results and their interpretation, both internally and during external client interactions. They have each demonstrated great examples of working collaboratively and have driven improvements across different areas of the business. 

Since joining Seda in December 2020, Alan has been highly influential in the growth of our analytical capabilities. His strong academic background (a pharmacist with two MScs in Drug Design and Pharmaceutical Analysis) plus several years’ experience working as a QC analyst, has given Alan a great foundation for the provision of high quality, robust data to our clients. With his special interest in characterisation of pharmaceutical materials and nanomedicines, he will play an instrumental part in Seda’s growth journey.  

Elen joined Seda in June 2019 as a Medical Science graduate from the University of Leeds. Her formulation and analytical skills have developed exponentially during this time, exemplified by her pivotal role in the development of Seda’s model informed amorphous solid dispersion offering for enhancing the performance of poorly soluble compounds.  She is currently studying towards her Pharmaceutical Industry Advanced Training (PIAT) Master’s Degree from the University of Manchester which will further supplement her on-the job learning.
